Frequently Asked Questions

Why would I need more than insurance?
Insurance companies strongly recommend thorough documentation of your property.  In the event of a claim, generalizations of the contents destroyed or stolen, will slow down the resolution of your claim and your settlement will be at a less than market value.
How long will it take to complete the inventory?
For a standard home approximately four to six hours depending on the amount of property to documented and computer rendering time.  The customer and Linda do the process together.  The customer is given an opportunity to answer questions regarding their possessions and value during filming.
What can I expect to receive with my inventory?
Your video will be on a DVD and you will receive two copies.  Your rough footage will be archived on another DVD and given to you for safe keeping.  In the event of a claim, for an additional fee, we can reinstall your raw footage into our computer and extract pictures for claim purposes or to provide pictures to the police department in the event of theft.
How do I know that my inventory will be secure?
Along with being bonded, your inventory DVD is filmed and published in your presence and all raw footage is burned on a DVD.  Your information is deleted from our computer and camera.  It will be your responsibility to keep the raw footage and DVD in a safe place.
What if my house is too messy for an inventory?
Your home does not have to be in perfect order. The most important thing is that we can see the items requiring documentation. We’re flexible and will work with you to record the details needed for the personal property in your home. We provide simple pre-visit homeowner guidelines to make the process easy for the homeowner.

The peace of mind of being prepared in the event of a loss cannot be calculated.
